10) Donate food cans/items that are close to expiration.

9) Reuse plastic bags (if you have to use them at all!).

8) Save vegetable scraps (carrot tops, celery tops, ends of tomatoes) and make broth.

1)  Perimeter shop as much as possible: when at the grocery, avoid the aisles, as this is where most processed food is located. Go for fresh fruits, veggies, grains, etc.
